In this project I have used photography and composition to create an aesthetic aligning with the notion of miscellaneous. This word suggests a mix of different items with a feeling of randomness to it. So, with the use of traditional analogue homeware instruments, this is what I tried to create.


I think the style I have designed would work wonderfully for the marketing of a conceptual kitchen utensils brand. The photographs are stripped back with a neutral white background allowing the products themselves to be the hero. I also think this unorthodox style of presenting the products reflects the quirky, artistic nature of the speculative home cook target market.

The use of these compositions in branding would also play of the idea of intrinsic value. Although kitchen utensils have an obvious functional use this project increases intrinsic interest through artistic arrangement perhaps adding more value to a conceptual product.
